Funding discussion & debate - Wise Children
Arts Council Funding can be controversial - Emma Rice made her name as a significant contributor to the success of Kneehigh Theatre Company, went on to have a less successful relationship with the Globe and on her departure secured substantial funding just after setting up her company and prior to her first production.

Reading these articles & conducting your own research - What is your opinion of the decision made by the Arts Council? Consider the quality/reputation of the Director? Consider the amount of money & the source? Do the subsequent success & training opportunities matter?
